Global Adapt

Global Adapt was established to prepare MKs, other cross-culture kids and their families for their unique cross-cultural challenges while helping them see their lives as a special calling and blessing.

This ministry provides training, education, information and materials that focus on subjects unique to MKs and other cross-culture kids, such as their cross-cultural upbringing, high mobility, the impact this lifestyle has on relationships, benefits and challenges of this way of life, and the blessing they receive because they are chosen for this journey through life.  The objective is to equip MKs, other cross-culture kids and their families to successfully adapt and transition between cultures and, ultimately, thrive.

Steve Snyder, founder of Global Adapt, conducts seminars, leads retreats, teaches and interacts on issues of importance and interest to MKs, other cross-culture kids, their families, educators, supporters, mission and other sponsoring organizations.  The teaching style is entertaining but relevant.  Steve translates and makes practical application from a broad range of contemporary writing, research and scholarship on these subjects in such a way as to make the information accessible to young people.  More personally, he draws extensively from his own reservoir of memorable stories and experiences to render the teaching engaging, meaningful and applicable to his audience.  His teaching connects with other MKs and cross-culture kids as they recognize themselves in his stories and teaching.

Additionally, Steve has spoken in school chapels at Christian international schools and as speaker for Spiritual Emphasis Weeks.  When suitable, he is sometimes accompanied by a talented music team, including on occasion his wife Patty, which provides special music and can lead in praise and worship.

Global Adapt and Steve Snyder desire that the ministry to MKs and other cross-culture kids will extend vicariously to their families, mission works and other sponsoring organizations.  This ministry also seeks to expand the understanding of supporters, supporting churches and other sponsoring organizations so that they can better uphold, encourage and meet the unique needs of missionary and cross-cultural families. 

Global Adapt is a non-profit organization incorporated in South Carolina, USA, and is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization.
